Pearl Dadeland

I’ve been a resident of Pearl Dadeland since March and even though I’m satisfied with the location and some of its amenities, I unfortunately have more complaints that I’d like to: The main elevator from the most crowded tower in the community has issues or is out of service week in and week out. It’d get “fixed” for a couple days and go back out of service for several more. It’s almost part of the community’s daily routine at this point… Some gym and grill equipment has been broken since the day I moved in and nothing has been done about it. The left side of the Hercules machine inside the gym, for example, is totally broken and at least 2 out of 5 grills are indefinitely out of service. Lastly but more importantly, I was told someone drove into the parking lot gate and “tore it down”. It’s been over 2 weeks of absolutely no control of who drives into the community or leaves their vehicles overnight. Moreover, the gates connecting the apartments with the parking area are never locked. Meaning anyone can drive up to any floor and freely walk into the residency area. All these issues have been PERSONALLY notified to the management team whose response has always been inconsiderate and unprofessional. Last time I spoke to them I was referred to a manager that wasn’t present. Since then, I’ve been trying to call in order to set up an appointment with him/her and haven’t been able to even reach the office. Really eager to discuss how is this possible in a “luxury building”…

My experience with Pearl Dadeland has been terrible to say the least, from the application process on down. I’m a college student and decided to move here with my roommate due I the convenience of location. During the ' application process we were told we didn’t make enough although I documented and made 3x the rent by myself, we had to call again and send additional documents after proving we were indeed within the desired financial guideline. They assured us that it was a mistake on their end and approved us a day after they spoke with our parents. The next issue ensued on my day of move-in when they allowed someone to use the move-in elevator during the time that I reserved hence creating more issues and making me have to pay my movers more with NO REMORSE just an it is what it is attitude. The next issue is the lack of urgency that the apartment has. We have had a leak in the bathroom ceiling since move in and we’ve had to email multiple times for it to even be addressed, the leak has gotten so bad that there’s mold in our apartment. It’s extremely upsetting and my roommate and I are physically sick due to the negligence of the apartment. Outside of the poor management within the apartment I’ve been ticketed many times as a resident with a resident sticker in the garage, with no response from the leasing office and being charged a $50 resident fee and still being ticketed is not ok. They refuse to take action until you’ve escalated the problem and then they do the bare minimum. Please take heed to these reviews we ignored them and wish we hadn’t ! Please listen to the other reviews as well, the staff is unwilling to help, rude and apathetic. After you sign the lease Pearl Dadeland becomes a completely different complex, from broken amenities, animal feces in the building everywhere, out of code and broken elevators to little to no guest parking spots the experience has been terrible. Take your money elsewhere especially if you’re a college student this place is a nightmare

The WORST building here in Dadeland area!!! Nothing about Pearl Dadeland is luxury.. - No security, broken garage gates ( it’s been over a month broken ) and all doors in the garage you are able to open without code so literally anyone could come into this building. - So many homeless people trying to come into the building /hanging around inside. Feels so unsafe living here. - Elevators are always broken/dirty. - The hallways don’t have AC so it smells like wet dog/weed - dog poop everywhere and no one cleans it. The door to catch/carpet to catch the stairs on my floor literally has had poop all over it for weeks now.. I’ve told the office & nothing, it’s still there. - my neighbor had someone trying break into his apartment, thankfully I have a ring camera on my door and noticed/told him. But again nothing was done. - every time you call the office they never answer. I even msged the manger 3 weeks ago and still NO ANSWER!! - the package room is left open with packages on the floor so anyone could steal them - aggressive dog lives in the building/ attacked another dog on my floor almost 3 weeks ago & the manager has yet to send out a email/done anything about like she told me she will. That’s why I sent her a email and still no reply. - Also it’s so loud outside since the building is off of Kendall, it’s like living in New York City!

I recently had an application experience at the Pearl Dadeland apartment that left me deeply disappointed. As an Asian woman applicant, I expected professionalism and fairness during the process, but unfortunately, that's not what I encountered. I submitted my application along with all the required documentation, including bank statements and my I-20 as proof of financial stability. Despite having over $150,000 in funds, my application was rejected based on a purported "unsatisfactory rent-to-income ratio." This decision baffled me, as I had more than enough financial capability to meet their requirements. What troubles me even more is the lack of responsiveness from the management when I attempted to discuss and rectify the situation. I believe in fair treatment for everyone, regardless of their background, and I can't help but wonder if my experience was influenced by racial or gender biases. In addition to addressing the larger issue of fairness, I also have a more specific concern: my application fee. I would appreciate a refund of the application fee I paid, considering the circumstances. It's only fair that if an applicant meets the stated criteria, the application process should be conducted transparently and with due diligence. While I respect the right of any establishment to make decisions based on their criteria, I also believe that transparency, professionalism, and equality should be upheld throughout the process. My intention in sharing this review is to shed light on my experience, request a refund of the application fee, and encourage improvements in the application process at Pearl Dadeland. I hope that future applicants, regardless of their background, will be treated with the fairness and respect that every person deserves.
